Hell or High Water (2016)

[official site; IMDB; en.wikipedia]

Smart.

Consistent & Coherent storyline.

The story develops linearly at times, then it gets twists and turns and so on. It feels very real, probable etc. - I don't have any objections to it, I wouldn't change anything if given the chance to, because it is great as it is!

Smart & Deep comedy.
Marcus Hamilton (played by Jeff Bridges) jokes about a lot of things, but those jokes are smart, deep, true observations regarding the world we all live in etc.

There's always something catching one's attention: the characters' drama, the landscape, the music, some smart idea etc., so one cannot possibly get bored.

The end is just great if you ask me.
This is the first time, I think, that I feel sorry there cannot be done a sequel, but you know what? Maybe it's better this way!

I should also read the book that the script is based on! I thought to myself after the movie... but there's no book, although the story is so deep, as if it has first been published as a novel and then adapted for a film.

Nota bene:
  1. Some may not understand it and/or find it boring.
  2. Should be watched in a cinema. TV would just ruin the experience.

Conclusions

Definitely worth watching.
Loved it.
