Happy Birthday, Romania! / La Multi Ani, Romania!

[Post published by Liviu on Liviu's [Personal] Blog]

Happy Birthday, Romania!
Indeed, today, December 1st, is the National Day of Romania.

If interested, feel free to read [a lot] about Romania:
  1. First unification of the Romanian principalities - Wallachia, Moldavia, Transylvania - in 1599 under the rule of Mihai Viteazul. Yeah!
  2. Great Union Day, December 1st, 1918.
  3. January 24th, 1859 - another great day in the history of Romanians and Romania: the unification of the Romanian Principalities of Wallachia and Moldavia under the rule of Alexandru Ioan Cuza
  4. Kingdom of Romania and King Carol I of Romania
  5. The most recent best news: Romania joined the EU on January 1st, 2007.
Of course, feel free to ask questions. I shall happily answer if I know the answer or ask someone who does and point to a relevant piece of information containing the answer.

In the end, I can only say one more thing:
Happy Birthday, Romania!
[I just love saying it, I know.]

Pai prin cultura, sistemul educational si cultural etc. - practic cetatenii sunt "produsul/creatia" tarii.
